The logbook is still paper.

A student does around ten inspections a day for four years. Each one needs a supervising practitioner's signature and a lecturer's approval before it counts. On paper that means lost pages, unreadable signatures, a mentor chasing a stack at month-end, and a lecturer who can't see anything until it's too late to fix.

How a day gets credited

One inspection, from the field to the logbook.

    Log it in the field.

    The student completes each inspection against a checklist built from the actual regulation. Address is required — it proves they were there.

  2. 02

    The day submits itself.

    At end of day the inspections batch into one logbook day and go to the practitioner. Nothing to remember to send.

  3. 03

    The EHP signs off.

    The supervising Environmental Health Practitioner reviews the day and signs with their practice number and a timestamp. Or returns it with a note.

  4. 04

    The lecturer credits it.

    One tap approves the practitioner's sign-off and the day counts. A hundred approved days over four years, all traceable.

Lecturers can also credit a theoretical task done in class — no practitioner needed.
